My strategy of today was focusing KOKAGE's spinner and ignoring HIRATA & FUTASUJI.

I often see you FUTASUJI early morning.

Maybe it will be good plan using your imitation next morning trip.

Don' t scare my fish, please.

Got the last chance

Good morning, guys. I'm 'Early Bird Lance' this morning again.

5:15-7:10, I felt the sunrise time was getting earlier just a little bit.

Last evening's hatch, BWO, FUTABA_KOKAGE(new finding), 

And ERABUTA_MADARA also new to me here.

 It had three tails(hard to see it in this pic).

The water level and color was excellent. But reaction of fish was so slow... Maybe it was a little cold temp. this morning. It was lucky to catch this one at last hole. Thanks, god!

Test of new wader

My original plan was to keep wearing the old wader till it would break. But couldn't wait it. My impression of new one is, so good so far! Still 5:30-7:00 time frame...

This FUTASUJI has hatched just in front of me. It stands out well, but it is not major hatch quite a few numbers.

Fishing itself was so slow because of heavy rain few days ago.

Planning of next morning fishing though, it is hard no to fall asleep...

Middle of Golden Week

How do you spend your GW, guys? About me, I think it is good time to be with my kids especially second daughter. It was difficult for me to have a time with her on weekdays.

Water was colored, so I couldn't see any fish from USUKUBO bridge...

OKUMA's hatch was so poor, but some spinners were seen today.

After 15:00, KOKAGE's hatch got restarted and rise got started!

Fishing Guide D-chan

D-chan as my KANOGAWA mentor took me to his secret main stream hole today.

OKUMA was seen so often around noon. But it was hard to find the rise for me on main stream.

 D-chan gave me only one precious rise there. And I got it by OKUMA crippled dun pattern. Thank you so much!

Moved to another stream for blind fishing.

After two mistakes for good ones, caught small one there.

In the evening, the river kept silence. I had no chance to cast for rises.

My strong passion for the fly fishing is getting back now.

OSHINO without fishing pole

I forgot to write it though, we saw a HOTARU(firefly) after fishing at OSHINO. When I told my family about it, they said 'Let us see the HOTARU, dad!!'  Oh I see, sweetie. Let's go there today.

We visited the SAKANA Park first.

It was much better than I'd imagined.
They seemed to like it very much, too.

Go out around 4PM.

Found about #14 size Spinner there.

KOSAKU which Tommy and Y-kun recommended was nice restaurant.

Famous ice cream shop for our circle.
Visit after over 10 years interval!

Around 20 o'clock, we found the HOTARU at OSHINO!
Likely HEIKE_BOTARU species, smaller and darker than GENJI_BOTARU.

We all had fantastic time there together.
