It was the last day of summer vacation today. We had many happenings this week including my backache, but it was nice vacation for us all.

On the way our home, we stopped at SANO premium outlet shop to see new shop of 'Foxfire'. It was much better than I'd imagined. There were so many fly fishing gears!

My most surprised one was the 'Sight Master' polarizing lens. This model was priced 9,800yen and 15%OFF! You have no fear for the dark evening rise, Lance!

Preparation #2

As I reported,  my new rubber wading shoe's gripness was not good, a kind of slippery. And according to my fishing friend and mentor, his home A river got slippery this year. So here is  my countermeasure, just arrived today. Please help my fishing next wonderful weekend!

Repairing the wading shoes' sole

 I remembered that my wading shoes' sole was almost broken. The fishing off season is good chance to fix it. Prepare the aquaseal, a cutter, pair of new sole sheet, a tape and the ethanol.

 After the taping, just wait for a while.

Got this new rod for this fishing season! Likely it has two different type of tips. So far, I'm going to use the fast tapered one for KANOGAWA main stream, and the medium fast tapered one for OSHINO.

Anyway, can't wait this weekend!

About myself,

I got new rod also with Tommy's help on last Christmas.
It is definitely my first #3 rod for Japanese stream.



I liked its high quality, so far. And believe it will work well for Japanese YAMAME and AMAGO trout next spring.
Cannot wait the opening day, March first, anyway!

Gear for Dreams

I thought I didn't need to have them until quite recently, because they looked like high threshould for me. But finally, I did buy them to realize some of my dreams.

Rod: 5-PIECE CL SPEY ROD 13 FT 9/10 LW, Cortland
Reel: PRECISION XC LARGE ARBOR FLY REEL #4 (9/10), Cortland
Line: Tip Taper TT-375(Sink Tip), JIM TEENY
It costed about five hundred bucks, it sounded much cheaper than Japan.

I'm looking forward to fishing on larger river like North Umqua and Deschutes.

I've just bought them!

I bought SAGE fly rod(VPS 690-4 #6) in fall special sale. I think it would be used for Steelhead and lake fishing(including ASHINOKO after returning Japan).

But major reason to buy it was the price! Though it usually costed about $500 in Japan and $400 in Boise, it became $250 in sale!

Of course I knew if it was broken after returning Japan, I had to send it to SAGE USA directly by myself. But I thought it was worth to buy now.

To tell the truth, I'd already bought ROSS REEL just a little befere also. Though it costed $275 in Boise, it seemed to be about $400 in Japan.

Anyway, it seemed to be time to go fishing!
