Last chance and the accident

General trout fishing season will be closed tomorrow.
Today's my theme was to fish very carefully to complete this season.

Wow,  you had been there! Couldn't catch you though, glad to see you first time this season.See you next spring, please.

And you were complete new finding for me. Your hole was difficult to drift my fly naturally, but try to see you again.

I didn't catch any fish so far though, fishes likely were conscious of the surface. I felt it would be a good fishing day today. But it happened suddenly.

I slipped and fall into the water completely! And my cherish camera got wet and not responded any more... Oh my..............

Once I thought I should stop fishing, but decided to go home and take another camera(First EOS KISS digital).
Resume fishing after lunch with old camera.
Lance, forget it and take your time as you like.

Long time no see, thank god! (fly:Black EHC)

Check the final section as last.

A kind of CHIRA_KAGERO?

By Light Cahill.Thanks, again!

Please grow up more and bite my fly surely next spring.

3rd strategy was...

Let's change the fishing time to 15:00-16:30 today.
I thought it would be better than the last week,
because we had moderate rain and it was getting cooler little by little.

No reaction for #14 brown parachute(curved shank),
changed to big one #10 stimulator, because there was no sign of mayfly.

I couldn't imagine that such a tiny you could bite #10 fly.

The rice harvest time is coming soon.
Which means that trout season will be closed soon also, next weekend.
Now I'm thinking how to finish this season. I'd like to harvest something good to...

Change the strategy

This morning, based on my assumption,
I changed the strategy for that river.

HIGANBANA( a cluster-amaryllis) was seen first time this year.

Fishing toward downstream method didn't give me any superb effect.
But got some new findings and some bites.
Some mayflies were popped out this morning, might be one of HIRATA species.

I got skunked completely 6-8AM fishing, and now I reached the conclusion.
Let's check your new assumption, Lance. Hopefully, soon.

Early bird fishing late summer

Sunrise time is getting late, about 5:30.
I thought early morning might be good time now in late summer,
I meant 'not early fall yet'.

Still spider's net interrupted me a lot...

White body's mayfly, AKAMADARA?

Large sized spinner was seen first time recently.
Fall must be just around the corner.

Thank you for coming as my only one fish this morning.

8:30-11:00AM Fishing

I took a day off to take care of kids from noon. From noon? Take your time in the morning, Lance.
8:23 Got started. Quite long interval for this river.

Tied spider's pattern first.

Cricket could be main drifter here in Japan?
I got some reactions from fish though, it looked like my fly didn't match their preference.

This small mayfly might be key this season.
Many spinners were caught on spider's net. Changed fly to the small black parachute one.

9:34 I'm so sorry for hooking you.

MOKUZUGANI crab were busy for feeding the moss.

Fall is just around the corner.

I missed two good one's bite, mantis.
How could I be a good catcher like you?

MOYAMOYA...

We had to give up tomorrow's big fishing trip at last...
I don't know I have still another chance or not...
Gone evening fishing with lots of MOYAMOYA(gloomy feeling)...

Found black ant was effective there.

First time to see you this year.

Found black EHC was also effective there.

Caught 3 AMAGO(baby), 1 ABURAHAYA.
Couldn't stop fishing until 19:20.
Thinking of one more fish, but got no more fish...
Still MOYAMOYA...

Ran into Tommy there. He was enjoying difficult selective rises.

Caught two though...

Early morning filed test of the cleat.
It got better, but I still weaker grip than the felt sole.

Lucky first fish by #16 white parachute.

I had occasional rain this morning.

It was good natural drift for this second one.

Ouch!!! My favorite #3 rod... Just worry about next weekend...

Still baby-sitter

Just before sunrise 4:55.

My strategy of today was focusing KOKAGE's spinner and ignoring HIRATA & FUTASUJI.

I often see you FUTASUJI early morning.
Maybe it will be good plan using your imitation next morning trip.

Don' t scare my fish, please.

I'm getting fed up with baby-sitting...
