Hawaii; Waikiki beach

These leis were presented all of us from hotel.

1st dinner at Egg's Things which is famous for pancakes.

Older daughter loved them.

2nd day's morning, will be a good day.

Let's go to the beach!

Our first Waikiki beach. Few minutes by foot from hotel.

Yum yum shaved ice.

Younger daughter got scared by the wave.

Hungry! Must have lunch.

Having lunch at 'Cheeseburger Beachwalk'.

You must order 'It's all good' there.

Beer again?

LONGBOARD Island Lager was better than FIRE ROCK for me.

Hawaii; Arrival

At NARITA airport, they were already so excited.

I'm missing the local brewing beer in US a lot.

Last weekend before HAWAI trip

Only four days to the flight? We doesn't seem to be ready yet.

But it is fun to be busy for vacation preparation.

Bat on the wall of the veranda

When I dried the washing in the sun this morning,

Noticed something different from the usual.

It was him, bat. We family all were surprised by him.

Our older daughter said 'His eyes looks like TOTORO, dad!'. Might be true, sweetie.

He was moved to safety place which was far from our house.

GOTENBA sight seeing

We family all have gone to GOTENBA again and again for the preparation of my wife's seasonal job. 1st place to visit was KOMAKADO_KAZAANA(a windhole, kind of cave).

2nd place was Chichibunomiya memorial park. It was beautiful garden with lots of flowers and plants.

5th place as the last was SEIKOEN, expecting to see the wild bird and the nature forest.

We might see KUROTUGUMI there first time, couldn't take a pic and identify it.

HIGURASHI cicada was hatching there.

Eggs of MORIAOGAERU frog. We couldn't see any adults.

If you like it, must visit the cave near the shrine.

MAKUIWA - FUTAGOYAMA

We picked 3 hours trail course for practice.

We asked my parents to take care of two daughters today.

These shoes works well, so far.

11:34 got started.

The trail to the MAKUIWA was surrounded with trees.

It was basically cloudy, sometimes raining.

Just fun to walk in the green.

The track of a lava flow is typical feature around Mt. FUJI.

This lava flow likely reaches MISHIMA, our living city.

12:53 Got to MAKUIWA.

We could see FUTAGOYAMA's two peaks first 13:16.

It was getting so windy.

We had so strong wind there.

Could see YAMANAKAKO lake below.

Go up to the top.

Changed to 'gale' at the top. Hard to walk ahead.

It was just 3H hike. Weather itself was not good,

but we two had good time together without kids today.
