Birds, Birds, Birds

We had lots of things today.

But my topic here is...

the wild bird, as you know.
KAWARAHIWA, Oriental Greenfinch, was second time to see for me. Beautiful yellow color was impressive.

And we found KOGERA, Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker, there today! I saw it several times before though, it was first seeing in this park.

Fortunately we could observe it well in very short distance. It looked so busy for pecking something so often.

Last pic, left one was took from our house' window.

They must be typical winter bird here TSUGUMI, Dusky Trush, first time to see this season. What a great place here is, to see the wild birds! See you closer next weekend.

KAWAZU-ZAKURA

is famous one of early cherry blossoms around here in MISHIMA.
I found some trees nearby our house.

Even though we are still having so cold days nowadays, it told me surely that the spring will be here soon.

You should do much something before it Lance, should't you?

Happy birthday

to you, Lance. He got these surprise presents yesterday as his birthday.

He is also a man who was born in a year with the same sign of the Chinese zodiac as the current year. Don't guess his age, guys please.

Never forget thanks for your family, and keep enjoying your fishing with well-balanced state as they expected,Lance.

Since she got

her new desk today, asked me to help her tying.

Her skill was getting better step by step.

Now it is your turn, Lance.

You should think of the first pattern which you tie this year.

About myself,

I got new rod also with Tommy's help on last Christmas.

It is definitely my first #3 rod for Japanese stream.

I liked its high quality, so far. And believe it will work well for Japanese YAMAME and AMAGO trout next spring.

Cannot wait the opening day, March first, anyway!

So far,

she likely loves fly fishing. The right painting which she drew was introduced to her friends at her kindergarten.

She seemed to show her original fly itself to them also. And it worked surely on last fishing.

Let's be there soon again, sweetie!

Her new fishing rod

which she got last Christmas was ECHO's GECKO. One of reasons I gave it to her was its color. She loved yellow and blue so much and was pleased with it.

As its debut, we came to KFS with N-kun today.

She was enjoying the fight with her new rod. I also felt it was good rod , ease to use very much.

It was N-kun's fly fishing debut day also today.

And he did good job! Looked so happy to catch many fish.

She could land a fish by herself today! Good progress, sweetie.

Nameplate and BINZUI

Eventually the nameplate was attached on the support today. I liked it!

My first shot of the Indian Tree Pipit 'BINZUI'. It was second time to see actually, but first time to be so close.

Likely it usually walking on the ground to catch the worm.

And 'KAWARAHIWA', Oriental Greenfinch was new to us also!

Should be lower exposure shot, Lance...

What she was looking at was,

her favorite Japanese White-eye 'MEZIRO'. It seemed to live in a small wood on the park nearby.

So nice walking time, wasn't it?
