Having lunch together on weekday

Just for a change we went out for lunch. Smoked salmon was nice.

Main dish was also fantastic.

And this fig on the tart was dangerous! We enjoyed the autumn taste a lot.

End of the fishing season this year

September 30, it was the last day of fishing season this year. I couldn't help going there...
The water level was still higher than usual, but it didn't look like bad condition for the dry fly.
It was cloudy and sometimes sunny.
Since there was no hatch, I tied the spider parachute pattern first.
Every fish of this river is so healthy and beautiful.
It might be my first fall fishing on this river.
First good one by the floating nymph pattern.
These small ones are the proof of the reproduction.

He also must miss the summer.
It was my lucky last fish of this season.
Thanks, my stimulator.

He was so wild and strong, perfect fall fish for me.
I know you don't like me though, hopefully see you next year.

I love this Japanese traditional fall scenery very much.

HIGEZI

My older daughter and I visited the museum to join the story telling event. Her purpose is to see the actor whose voice is used for HIGEZI. Which is comical character of her favorite nature TV program.
The museum itself was so modernistic.

She finally got HIGEZI's sign on her special fancy paper.

On the second floor, we enjoyed the another exhibition 'MANYOSYU'.
It was a kind of artistic one day in autumn for us.

Flooded OSHINO...

I got known the OSHINO's critical situation through it, and called the river's edge pro shop to get the latest information. The owner said that the lower section was catastrophic but I could fish on the upper section. I hesitated a lot, but realized that I had no choice anyway. Left home past 10:30AM with a little expectation which it will be better by this evening.

It was truly broken, just sad...
Now I knew my expectation wouldn't be true.
Moved to the upper section.

The upper section was better than the lower.
But it was still difficult situation, because of flooding .
I had to find just a few floating fishes like this pic.
So fishable hole was limited.

Fall baetis was too tiny, approximately #20.

I found the several floating fishes close to the opposite bank.

Got 3 bows there by small parachute and thorax dun.

I kept fishing until dark though, could have nothing there except sporadic baetis hatches...
Yeah, my last trip to OSHINO this year  was something like that.

OGASAYAMA

We visited the one of my nostalgic places today.
It still remained the heat of late summer.

She loves to sketch.

Swallows were busy for catching small mayflies.

Hopefully it will be the one of their nostalgic places.

New glove

I bought new baseball glove after an interval of 24years.
24 years... since my junior high school days. I'm very looking forward to next game.

We are still having the heat of late summer

Even in the shade, it was hot today.
We visited KADOIKE park after long interval.

The law of the jungle.

She caught the dragonfly named AKIAKANE,
which told us the fall coming.

She could catch SHIOKARA also.

Then we found GINYANMA dragonfly there. It can fly so fast that it is very difficult to catch.
So our strategy to catch it was to wait for its coming on its cruising route. She proposed blending with the surroundings not to be sensed.

She tried to imitate just the glass.

Her strategy came out very well.
We liked its beautiful color contrast.

To prepare breakfast

has been my daily work, since our younger daughter was born.
Lekue's steam case helps me a lot.
She could reach the upstairs by herself today!
It is getting hard to follow her for us...

Their piano lesson

She really likes piano also. Likely it will be hard to catch them up for me...

Lazy Sunday

We didn't go out at all today, because of the typhoon #12.

Caenis SP(HIMEKAGERO); just a grain of rice sized fly

Since I saw its super hatch last time, I've been thinking of its fly pattern. Hook size is #24~26. I don't know if it works or not though, I can't wait for the next fishing trip to OSHINO(maybe last trip this season).
