Camping in Sep.

By her strong request, we two went camping in IZU NATURE VILLAGE CAMP FIELD. It was about one hour drive from our house.

A Lizard was creeping around my canned beer.

After building a tent, we headed for a small mountain stream.

Caught many SAWAGANI, Japanese freshwater crab there, and released them.

It was maybe HACHIKUMA, Oriental Honey Buzzard. I'm doing double check now.

She gathered many acorns like squirrel.

Cooked steamed corn on the cob as a snack with dutch oven. Super yummy!

It was just the fast-sinking autumn sun.

To be continued tomorrow.

Two nights stay camping in NASU Heights

Since I have special long summer vacation this year, we planed two nights camping for the first time.

COCCO_LAND campground was located in NASU Heights and it took 1.5h drive from my wife's parents' home.

Site-F was surrounded by tall broadleaf tree, very good location.

She could get to catch insects by herself, like butterfly and dragonfly.

Dragonfly was catching HIRATA mayfly! We again realized that it was definitely predator insects.

After dinner, their favorite 'Marshmallow time' had come.

Next morning, we found KABUTO_MUSHI beetle on the willow tree. It was first experience for my daughter to see and catch the wild one.

Using dutch oven, what we were making was,

Pizza! So nice to eat!!

KOGERA(Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker) again.

Playing around YOSASA river. It was quite unusual for me not to have fishing time during this camping.

Curry & rice as typical camping dishes.

She helped her mam to flip Pancake over.

We decided to take two pairs of KABUTO_MUSHI beetles just for her observation for a while , and released this NOKOGIRI_KUWAGATA stag beetle.

If you have a chance, let me recommend you 'two nights camping' strongly to enjoy camping itself with enough time.

HAKAMATAKI Campground

We've been swamped with our new home planing, and should have no time for leisure on this weekend.

But we already had special plan with our daughter's friend's family to go camping together. They booked HAKAMATAKI campground for us.

It was located in the forest and close to HEDA harbor, west part of IZU Peninsula. A little over 1 hour drive from our house.

These tree made good shade for us.

They were trying to catch the fish by their net.

I could have a time for fly fishing at small stream.

Many rainbow trouts were caught by peacock curved shank parachute.

Small but beautiful wild AMAGO trout.

KOMOCHI_MANNENGUSA; One of stone-crop

MURASAKI KATABAMI; Purple Oxalis

The next day, we went down to the sea, HEDA harbor.

They tried SUIKA-WARI, watermelon bust, first time. Its taste was also good.

We enjoyed early summer of west IZU Peninsula so much

Pomato Land; '09 1st camping

It was so nice and hot day on Saturday. We had '09 1st camping at Pomatoland, which was located on KANO_GAWA river.

Our band-new tent worked well. Lunch in shade, part of tent, was comfortable.

After lunch, we went down to the river. My daughter played in the water with my wife, and about me...

I called it 'Investigating Fishing'.

Spotty rises were difficult... But so nice river view.

Outdoors cooking is my job anytime. This grilled chicken and pizza with the dutch oven were yummy.

After dinner, we enjoyed the hot spring nearby, fireworks, and...

MONOPOLY!

Lunch in the open

was so nice today.

There was a little crowded though, we enjoyed a day camping barbecue and playing outside.

That is it, so tired...
