The present from my wife

to us was SAKE and Green tea coke. SAKE was so fruity taste and I like it. Likely SAKE in SHIZUOKA has sweet and soft taste because of unique koji sort ( based on my wife's knowledge).

Her first sleepover

Rotation of tires

Because of the wear difference between front and rear tires, I rotated them after countless long time interval. I would like to change the color of seat post as next.

Reading a book

as much as possible is one of my plans this year. I have three books which should be returned to the libray by next weekend. I mean totally behind...

Ride on my bike

When I took care of my older daughter's new MTB, I felt I would like to ride my bike after long interval. So I went to the library by my bike. It was fun to feel the wind after long time.

What is this?

 It is late her B.D. present from us.

She said "I don't want a normal bycle, but want a real MTB".

I could understand her as one of MTB riders ( long long time ago...).

Her Birthday

 Christmas is her birthday also. My wife was busy to make secret sweets for her.

 She was so pleased with them. Good job, honey!

I liked it very much, and ate too much. I mean we enjoyed happy Christmas day too much.

NANBU TEKKI

This teapot joined our tea set today. It is one of Japanese traditional ironware called 'NANBU TEKKI'. Likely, which has been made in TOHOKU region for about  400 years. About 400 years history! Wish TOHOKU region will revive as soon as possible.

YUKIUSAGI

My older daughter made this snowshoe hare using the fruit of MANRYO in the garden. I know I'm a typical fond father though, I like her sensitive artistic sense very much.

Our friend in Boise visited our house!

He and his wife took care of us very much, when we were in Boise about 5years ago. Since he had a business trip to Japan, we could have chance to see him. He was very surprised by our older daughter's rapid growth(she was just 2~3 years old at that time), and pleased to see our younger daughter first time. Thank you for coming, we were very very glad to see you again!

Repairing the wading shoes' sole

 I remembered that my wading shoes' sole was almost broken. The fishing off season is good chance to fix it. Prepare the aquaseal, a cutter, pair of new sole sheet, a tape and the ethanol.

 After the taping, just wait for a while.

 We three took charge of house during my wife's absence today. Let's go out and play!

 Now she knows the fun of soap bubbles.

Our MANRYO's red is prime now. It is getting winter weather little by little.

TEDORIGAWA

We took a half day off on Friday and headed for TEDORIGAWA river. After about 6.5h drive, we got to our hotel close to the river.

 We left our hotel 3:30AM, and waited for the reception opening until past 6AM.

 After finished the reception, moved to the hole together and made preparation for fishing. 7:00AM was starting time.

 This shooting line system was new to me, but I couldn't have a time to practice casting.

 This was only my fish today, which was caught at 7:43AM. Don't ask me the detail, please. And ... that's it.
 It was raining all through the day. Even using type4 sink tip, it was difficult to keep the fly in the bottom range because of high level of water.

15:30 was ending time. Don't forget the followings next year, Lance.

1. You should have many heavy shots.
2. You should have heavier sink tip than type4.
3. Fishing trip should be set around 11/10.
4. You need full two days including check the river the day before.
5. You need more casting practice...

Ring girl

She played the ring girl at my female cousin's wedding party. But I didn't know she walked with her bridegroom. I should confess I felt jealous...

PORTA (Red wine)

We drunk its white wine which was given by curryman at Halloween party. But it was difficult to rank for me because I had couple of glass of beer before it... So I tasted this red wine today though, it likely was too sour and bitter for me.

PORTA 2009 CABERNET SAUVIGNON; 2star(5star is the highest rank)

Its color matching was 5star, perfect one for Halloween.

Fun to play tennis

Today we played tennis with SAZAEMAN's family together. To tell the truth, I'm getting remember my strong passion for tennis, which I had in my college days. By the way, when I bound up the grip tape this morning, I forgot to cover the grip end with the tape(see the pic). It showed clearly my long long blank time without tennis...
